Feet up

After more than four hours of driving on Saturday, I decided Sunday was a rest day. My friend Jill was supposed to arrive but she postponed because she was sick. Maybe Monday.

I had a liesurely morning and planned to take a walk to the beach later. Stelios showed up and suggested we do our cooking lesson today, so we agreed to start after I got back from my walk. A cute little black dog likes to break out from its fence to follow me. I named her Molly because she reminds me of the dog my X had when I met him.

He showed me how to make tatziki, the traditional Greek dip made of yogurt, cucumbers, garlic, onion, and olive oil. Then we moved on to stuffed kalamari. That, of course, included onion, garlic and olive oil as well. But then we mixed three cheeses; Edam, feta, and another salty goat cheese, and sweet red peppers.

It was time consuming but worth the effort. I cooked up a few for dinner. Wow. Unfortunately because it was raining, using the amazing grill outside was not an option.

I also worked on another coloring page as a part of my chill day. And off to Chania to pick up Jill tomorrow because she IS coming afterall.
